Wow. (I’m never speechless!)
Because of budget projection short falls in the state, the state budget to support public libraries is at $0. It looks like this will affect rural libraries with fewer fundraising opportunities the most. Last July they knew that this might be a possibility so the libraries have planned for such an occasion, but even then, it looks like important literacy programs will have to be cut.
Some tool just asked me if there was a “method to our madness.”
No, no. We just put all the books wherever we want and hope that serendipity is on our side when it’s time to find something.
